The year is 1922 and Doris Mitchell has left her home in Cornwall, England to start a new life in Melbourne, Australia. Doris is now managing the Stationery Shop in the Block Arcade.
After returning from the Great War, William Absalom has chosen to live a quiet life on the family sheep station in the Western District, the harsh reality of war has left him weary and withdrawn. But after a visit from an old friend William’s desire for life is unexpectedly reawakened.
**Doris Mitchell 1922 is the first story in the series, and although it isn't necessary we do highly recommend that you read Doris' Letters first.
The year is 1923, and vivacious Lily Darling is working at Winstone’s Flower shop in the Block Arcade, her floral artistry and vast knowledge of flowers is much admired by the ladies of Melbourne.
While attending one of her floral appointments Lily meets Edward, Head Gardener at Ripponlea. Edward is fun to be around and they soon realise they share a connection with the botanical realm.
**Lily Darling 1923 is the second story in the series, and although it isn’t necessary we highly recommend you read Doris Mitchell 1922 first.
The year is 1924 and Isabel Midwinter is the poised and gracious manageress of The Tearoom in the Block Arcade. Her warmth and hospitality has endeared her to her patrons, yet her private life remains a mystery.
