THE DORIS MITCHELL LETTERS 1922
The year is 1922 and Doris Mitchell has left her home in Cornwall, England to start a new life in Melbourne, Australia. Doris is now managing the Stationery Shop in the Block Arcade.
After returning from the Great War, William Absalom has chosen to live a quiet life on the family sheep station in the Western District, the harsh reality of war has left him weary and withdrawn. But after a visit from an old friend William’s desire for life is unexpectedly reawakened.
The Lily Darling Letters 1923
The year is 1923, and vivacious Lily Darling is working at Winstone’s Flower shop in the Block Arcade, her floral artistry and vast knowledge of flowers is much admired by the ladies of Melbourne.Â
While attending one of her floral appointments Lily meets Edward, Head Gardener at Ripponlea. Edward is fun to be around and they soon realise they share a profound connection with the botanical realm

Meet The Creator
Susan Scott is a writer and creative designer. She created The Tearoom Diaries as a form of visual storytelling inspired by a desire to spread love and beauty through art and literature.
Susan lives in a small country town in Victoria, Australia, with her son and their Border Collie, Bonnie.
When she’s not writing and designing in her studio, Susan likes to spend time reading and nurturing her heavenly, scented, vintage garden.
