The year is 1922 and Doris Mitchell has left her hometown in Cornwall, England to start a new life in Melbourne, Australia. Doris is working in the fashionable Block Arcade and has formed new friendships with the shop girls in the Arcade. After returning from the Great War, William Absalom chooses to live a quiet life on the family sheep station in the Western District, the harsh realities of war have left him weary and withdrawn. William is surprised when his feelings unexpectedly change after a visit from an old friend. Determined to put his troubled past behind him William embarks on a quest to rebuild his life and follow his hearts desire.

I'm on my third letter and have loved travelling back in time to a different era. I love going to the Block Arcade on our trips to Melbourne, it is so full of character. I loved the September version, and the added touches of the teacup with a teabag and the Wattle-day post card were fabulous. I feel that things are now moving forward a bit, as in the last 2 letters, things lacked a bit of excitement.
